„Vorsicht ist besser als Nachsicht.“ In Ihrem Unternehmen möchten Sie sicherlich Probleme bereits im Vorfeld erkennen, um sie zu vermeiden. Gleiches gilt für rechtliche Hemmnisse: Wenn Sie ein Erzeugnis ausführen, wollen Sie vermutlich frühzeitig auf neue technische Anforderungen für dieses Erzeugnis hingewiesen werden. In der EU wird durch den Binnenmarkt sichergestellt, dass Erzeugnisse frei gehandelt werden können. Was aber, wenn Sie in Drittländer außerhalb der EU ausführen?

In diesem Fall soll Ihnen das Übereinkommen über technische Handelshemmnisse der WTO helfen.

Es hilft den EU-Wirtschaftsteilnehmern dabei, sich mit Vorschriften vertraut zu machen, die in Drittländern für Erzeugnisse gelten (siehe Abschnitt „Informiert sein“).
Es ermöglicht, unnötige technische Hemmnisse für den internationalen Handel zu erkennen und an der Quelle zu beseitigen, häufig mit Ihrer Mitwirkung (siehe Abschnitt „Gehör finden“).

Notifications and comments

As of 1 February 2022, the EU will publish:

EU TBT notifications;
comments from WTO Members on EU TBT notifications, provided that such comments do not contain personal data; and
EU replies to comments from WTO Members on EU TBT notifications.

The EU will also publish:

TBT notifications from WTO Members to which the EU provided comments;
EU comments on TBT notifications from WTO Members; and
Replies of WTO Members to EU comments on their notifications, provided that such replies do not contain personal data.

Finally, the EU aims at publishing TBT notifications of EU Member States.
